What Personal Data the company Collects and Why?

Visitors only
If you are just browsing our website, we will not collect personal data other than your IP address through our cookies.

The company uses cookies to collect information about your usage of the website. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you open a website, and which allow you to accede a website or a web application without having to register again. The information collected by the cookies do not contain any personal data and are deleted after the session has expired. In your browser settings you can disable the storage of the cookies. Please note that in this case it is possible that you won’t have full access to all functionalities of this website.

The company, based on its legitimate right (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and efficient usage of the online offer as per art. 6, par. 1 lit. f of the GDPR) uses Google Analytics as a web analysis service by Google LLC (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The data collected by cookies about the usage of the online offer by the users are usually transmitted and stored on a Google server in the US. Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework and thus guarantees the compliance with the European Data Protection Laws (Link). Google processes this information on behalf of the company for the purpose of analysing the use of the online offer by the users, to create reports about the activities on the website, and to provide other services to the company related to the usage of the online offer and the internet usage. In doing so, it is possible that the processed data is used to create pseudonymous user profiles. The company uses Google Analytics exclusively with activated IP-anonymization. This means that the IP address of users within member states of the European Union and in other contracting states within the European Economic Area is shortened by Google. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address is transferred to the Google server in the US and shortened there. The IP address sent by the users’ browser is not put in relation with other data collected by Google.

Moreover, you can prevent the capture of data created by cookies related to your usage of the websites (incl. your IP address), the transmission to and the processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in under this link. This browser add-on for the deactivation of Google Analytics prevents your data from being collected during all future visits to the company’s website.

Information you submit
The company processes personal information about you such as your name, address, email address and telephone number and anything else that you provide to us when you contact us for example by filling in a form in order to respond to the enquiry or complaint you are making.

The company also collects personal information when you contact us, send us feedback or complete surveys which the company uses to improve our services and products in the future.

If you wish to get the newsletter offered on the website, download content or access to non-public sites («protected»), the company needs your email address and some information that allows to verify if you are the owner of the provided email address and that you agree with the reception of the newsletter. No other data is collected. This data is used by the company only to send the requested information and does not hand over this data on to third parties.

You can withdraw at any time your permission for the storage of the data, the email address which is used for the dispatch of the newsletter, for instance by pressing/clicking the «unsubscribe» button or link.

For sending newsletters, the company uses the online platform of the service provider ActiveCampaign, LLC , Chicago, IL, USA.

The email addresses of the newsletter recipients and other data described in this notice are stored on servers of ActiveCampaign in the USA. ActiveCampaign uses this information to send and analyse the newsletter on behalf of the company. Moreover, ActiveCampaign, according to their own statements, may use this data to optimize or improve their own services, for instance for technical improvements and layout improvements as well as for economical purposes and for analysing which countries the recipients come from. ActiveCampaign though, does not use the data of the newsletter recipients to address them directly and does not hand over these data to third parties.

How Is Processing Your Personal Data Lawful?
The company is allowed to process your personal data on the basis that it is in the company’s legitimate interests to:
